1. No Smoking on Coastal Comfort Cottage Property. All rentals will be subject to eviction and a $250 cleaning charge if smoking of any kind in the cottage.

2. Follow Prince Edward Island’s Waste Disposal Guide. On Prince Edward Island, we separate our garbage so use Compost, Waste, and Recycle Bins provided in the cottage. * Please refer to guide in welcome binder. Large Garbage Bins are located behind the cottage.

3. If there is a power outage, do NOT run water or flush toilet as our water system operates on an electric pump.

4. When showering, please ensure the shower curtain is inside the shower stall so the cottage floor is protected.

5. As we do not have a range-hood over the stovetop, we suggest opening the kitchen window to allow for ventilation. As well, please be mindful of splatter.

Other Items to Mention

1. There is a variety of wildlife that you may see on the property. Under no circumstance is feeding wildlife permitted. Feeding wildlife is harmful to the animals so we ask you respect them.

2. There is a neighborhood dog that likes to roam the community so you may see her. Gracie is a large white Great Pyrenees and she is very friendly. Do not let her in the cottage.

3. There is a clothesline behind the cottage to hang towels to dry.

4. Plastic glasses are not dishwasher safe.

5. Glass on the public beach (beach around the corner to the left)….we have been told the story of a bootlegger who lived on the adjacent property on this road. The glass on the public beach is a result of bottles being thrown on the beach. The glass is very old, and resurfaces after every tide but hasn’t turned to beach glass as it has been buried for many years and not persistently tumbled to be smooth. We suggest wearing sandshoes and please use caution. We do regularly pick up the broken glass (feel free to assist in the continual cleanup from this individual, gather it and put it in a bucket if you want).

6. In case of a power failure at night, there is a flashlight in the metal dish on the top shelf to the left of the kitchen sink.

7. Feel free to use some fresh herbs from the stacked planter on the front deck.

8. The dishwasher pods are located in a blue glass jar in the cabinet above the stove.

9. There is a cabinet available to store food, etc. on the back side of the dishwasher cabinet.

10. There is a Laundromat in Souris if you need to wash anything…JJ’s Bucket O Sudz …open 8-8.

11. The Smart TV is available using your personal logins of your own streaming platforms.
